Summary:

Mainly correspondence of Jacob Chamberlain (1835-1908) as a student at the New Brunswick Theological Seminary in the 1850s; also includes letters written before his missionary service in India while he was living in Illinois and New York City.  Chamberlain received his A.B. from Western Reserve College in 1856, took his B.D. degree from the New Brunswick Theological Seminary in 1859, and later received his medical degree from the College of Physicians and Surgeons.  The collection also includes material on the Anable family and Anable School in New Brunswick.
