Summary:

28 letters, 1943-1945, written by PFC Thomas Kovanich from his training camp in Kentucky, and then from North Africa (against Rommell) and Italy, where he was killed in a tank battle on April 19, 1945.  His last letter is dated April 15, and a letter to Kovanich’s parents written on May 20th, tells of his death.  Kovanich writes to his sister in Singac, New Jersey (Passaic County) about his activities.  Includes photographs of him in uniform and of his headstone.
