Costume by Ana Goicochea Paterson, New Jersey, 1994
Acrylic.
Gift of Mrs. Elsa Mantilla. 1995.58

A member of the folklore and cultural group, Essencia Dominicana, donned this colorful festival costume, consisting of a jumpsuit and cape, for the 1994 Dominican Day Parade in Paterson, New Jersey. Ana Goicochea, who made the costume, modeled it after similar ones used in the Dominican Republic.
