Our Journeys/Our Stories: Portraits of Latino Achievement

The exhibit features 24 individuals and one extended family whose stories are told through specially commissioned photographs and biographical profiles containing excerpts from recent Smithsonian interviews. Among the portraits are businessman and philanthropist Joseph Unanue, athlete Rebecca Lobo, labor leader Dolores Huerra and folklorist Teodoro Vidal. While each of the featured Latinos tells a distinct and individual story, the profiles as a whole reflect shared Latino experiences, values and ideals.

The exhibit will be on view until February 24, 2008.

Our Journeys/Our Stories: Portraits of Latino Achievement was developed by the Smithsonian Latino Center and organized for travel by the Smithsonian Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES). The exhibition, its national tour and related programs are made possible by Ford Motor Company Fund.
