Feast Your Eyes: The Unexpected Beauty of Vegetable Gardens

Opening April 24, 2008, Feast Your Eyes: The Unexpected Beauty of Vegetable Gardens traces the visual appeal of vegetable gardens across centuries and cultures.

Come learn the role that vegetable gardening has played in shaping the history, culture and economy of New Jersey, and discover why New Jersey is known as the Garden State.

\"Feast Your Eyes: The Unexpected Beauty of Vegetable Gardens\" was developed by the Smithsonian Institution Horticulture Services Division in collaboration with the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service(SITES). The companion exhibition was developed by The New Jersey Historical Society in collaboration with the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station (NJAES) at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Funding for this exhibition was provided in part by the Smithsonian Institution, MetLife Foundation, Whole Foods Market, and NJAES.
