Biographical Note

Little information is know about Oliver B. Leonard, 1839-1918, other than the fact that he was an avid genealogist who compiled histories and data on prominent families of northern and central New Jersey of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

Scope and Content Note

This collection consists of files of notes pertaining to the genealogy of numerous New Jersey families from Middlesex and Union Counties, compiled by genealogist Oliver B. Leonard. They are, for the most part arranged in alphabetical order by family name. There are also files on a few general subjects such as taverns and drinking habits and tombstone engravings.
