Summary:

Consists of correspondence, receipts, clippings, and printed ephemera generated by the family of James Scott Terrill (1808-1887) and Sarah Terrill (d. 1895).  The materials pertain primarily to family matters and developments at the Terrill homestead in Rahway, New Jersey, but also mention local events.  Also includes two letters describing the funeral of Henry Clay and materials of the Harland family.  These papers were donated with a soldier’s sewing kit, including mini-flask and “trench mirror,” which now is located in the museum collection of the New Jersey Historical Society.
