The New Jersey Historical Society partners with The New Jersey Black Cultural & Heritage Initiative Foundation for a Black History Month Celebration

Join The New Jersey Historical Society and The New Jersey Black Cultural & Heritage Initiative Foundation on February 26, 2008 for a celebration of history.

The evening will feature keynote speaker Marc Morial, President and CEO of The National Urban League; Actress Alicia Washington, portraying Sojourner Truth; and on display, photos from \\\"Black Communities in New Jersey,\\\" by Professor Wendell White; and The New Jersey Historical Society\\\'s multimedia exhibition, What\\\'s Going On? Newark and The Legacies of the Sixties.

The celebration take place at The New Jersey Historical Society, 52 Park Place, Newark, NJ 07102, beginning at 5:30 P.M., with a reception at 6:00 P.M., and the program at 7:30 P.M. RSVP is required and tickets are $50 (Limited space). Payment preferred before February 21, 2009. Make checks payable to NJBCHI and mail to: NJBCHI, PO Box 249, Williamstown, NJ 08094
