Soap-making Workshop for Adults

2004-10-09

Keep It Clean (and Natural): Soap-Making Workshop for adults will be held at The New Jersey Historical Society, 52 Park Place, Newark on Saturday afternoon, October 9, from 1:00 to 2:30.

Learn how soap is made with Dan Bollinger, owner of Dirt Bag Soaps. He will discuss his line of all-natural soaps, and the delicious ingredients he uses to fit your skinís needs. Then choose scents and colors and make your own soap to enjoy.

There is a $5.00 material fee for non-members, $3.00 for members. Please call 973-596-8500, ext. 234 to register.

Before or after making soap, visit the current exhibit Exploring Tuberculosis: America's Quest for the Cure, which explores the history of TB, including how it has shaped our practices about health and sanitation. Exploring Tuberculosis: America's Quest for the Cure, will be on display through January, 2005. The New Jersey Historical Society is free and open to the public. Museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
