Records of a brigade detached from the state militia to supply
troops for
Gen. George Washington’s flying camp. Includes
brigade
return for December 25, 1776; brigade orders, December
27, 1776
january 9, 1777; records of receipts for bounty payments
dated
February 26, 1778; lyrics for a patriotic song entitled “A
Song of
the Times.” Under the cornmand of Gen. Thomas Mifflin, the
brigade was quartered at Haddonfield, Bordentown, and
Morristown.
Orders issued during the winter encampment at Morristown
are dated January 8 and 9, 1777.
