Includes the wills of Joseph Brittan, Samuel Tucker, and William Tucker, as well as manuscripts signed by William Livingston and Richard Salter, There is also “An Ode to General LaFayette on visiting the United States,” written by James McHenry (1785-1845), a Philadelphia editor and poet, on September 11, 1824; it is accompanied by his explanatory letter to William Jones (1760-1831), a former Secretary of the Navy and President of the Bank of the United States.
