Land deeds and legal contracts of John Drew (fl. 1813-1840), a farmer from Springfield, New Jersey. Included is the will of Stephen Denman (1758-1824).
John Drew (fl. 1813-1840), a farmer from Springfield (then Essex County, now Union County), New Jersey, was probably the son of John Drew (1754-1828) and Polly Drew (1765-1808). In 1809, he married Charlotte Denman (fl. 1809-1822), the daughter of Captain Stephen Denman (1758-1824).

This collection of papers of John Drew (fl. 1813-1840) consists of ten items dating from 1813-1840, and is arranged chronologically. Included are legal documents consisting of land deeds, bonds, rental agreements, and the will of Captain Stephen Denman (1758-1824). All but two of these documents are from transactions involving John Drew, and among the signers of these documents are Matthias Williamson (fl. 1813), Jonathan Little (fl. 1813), Samuel Bailey (fl. 1815), Thomas W. Bailey (fl. 1816), William Muchmore (fl. 1818), William Wallace (fl.1825-1826), Daniel Drew (fl.1832), Daniel Baldwin (fl.1840), and Henry Beeman (fl. 1840).
