Scope
and Content Notes:
The
Records of the Genealogy Club of the New Jersey Historical
Society contain the clubs archives and spans the years
1979-1985. The Genealogy Club of the Library of the New
Jersey Historical Society was founded in late 1979, and this
collection constitutes the clubs archives. Hence, the
collection remains open for the accession of additional material
in the future. This collection contains an open collection
of organizational records, meeting minutes, photographs,
newsletters, attendance lists, and other materials concerning
this group.
The
first accession of Genealogy Club Records (A. 83-10) was made on
May 31, 1983. Since then, there have been other materials
accessioned into this collection. The accession numbers
have been reproduced when available for reference.
Provenance:
This
collection was donated to the Society as a gift from the
Genealogy Club of the Library of the New Jersey Historical
Society in May 1983.
