This collection was purchased in 1986.

Scope and Content Note:

This collection consists of a daybook kept by Barzillai Sharp from 1801-1825.  The ledger indicates the customer’s name, product purchased, and the cost.  Sharp’s customers included Levy Sharpe, John Sharpe, Samuel Sharpe, Job Ballenger, Barzillai Brannin, and James Allen.  He sold such products as hay, beef, candles, and apples.
