Business records kept by packet boat operators at Middletown Point, Monmouth County, New Jersey. Trip records for the sloops Lady Tompkins, 1821-1823; Eclipse, 1823-1829; First Consul, 1831-1833; Monmouth, 1833-1835; and Atlas, 1840-1841 contain the names of passengers, the goods carried, and the names of the merchants for whom goods were transported. Near the rear of one volume are the records of the Mount Holly Insurance Co., 1836, including detailed descriptions of the construction of several buildings in Middletown Point.
