Committee, founded in 1932
by the English-Speaking Union of
the United States. Many of
the letters are addressed to Elizabeth
C. Carter, the
organization’s vice-chairman and secretary. Among
its other activities, the
Namesake Towns Committee of Newark
sent supplies to the H.M.S.
