EPHEMERA Scrapbooks, 19th
century. 21 volumes.

The Ephemera Scrapbooks consist mostly of
albums constructed by late 19th century New
Jerseyeans. These items deals more with business cards, prints
(colored and black and white) and other materials. The ephemeral
scrapbooks deal less with newsclippings.

Prior to 1995 these scrapbooks were
collected by the Museum department because  the printed
cards and “stickers” in the albums made them appear
more object-oriented rather than informational. The Scrapbook
collection (MG 1494) was collected by the library mostly from
scrapbooks filled with newsclippings, photographs, and other
materials..
