Henry G. Lyon’s account book
contains records of his cabinetmaking business in Sussex County, New Jersey from
the years 1800 to 1838.  Accounts are labeled with the name of the customer
and each entry includes date, job, and price.  Typical jobs include housing
construction and repair, furniture building, coffin building, and
painting.  The book contains an account with the Franklin Furnace Company
in Hardyston Township, and an index is located in the front of the volume.
