1067. HALSEY FAMILY Papers, 1859 – 1950.  72 items.

 

 
Papers include certificates and official documents pertaining to
George Armstrong Halsey (1827-1894), United States Congressman
from New Jersey from 1867-1869, assorted papers concerning Samuel
Armstrong Halsey (1884-1945), manager of the Phonograph
Corporation of Manhattan, an Edison subsidiary, and
brother-in-law of Governor Charles Edison, including naval
correspondence and his 1921 marriage agreement with Charlotte
Hawkins.  In addition there is a great deal of genealogical
material pertaining to a large number of Halsey members and a bit
of information on the Ogden Family.
