Correspondence between Edward Bingham and his wife, Belle while
he was serving nine months in the 21st regiment of the New Jersey
Volunteers.  Letters from Belle to Edward include news about
their children Willie and Lizzie, family matters, and
characterizations of life in Newark during the Civil War, while
Edward’s letters describe his experiences in the military,
specifically the Battle of Fredericksburg.
