Letters between John. W. Smith and his wife, Sarah Smith about
familial matters, politics and church. Collection also includes
two letters from a young man, “William” [perhaps John
and Sarah’s son] to his “mother,” written while he was
in the Union Army, a letter addressed to Mrs. Sally Ann Smith
from her sister and a few similar pieces of correspondence.
