Scope and Content Notes:

 

 

The George H. Pierson Journal spans the
years 18456-1848.  This was a journal kept by a young man
living in Morristown during the mid-l800’s.  Entries include
descriptions of farming and social activities, as well as his
work as an apprentice plasterer in Newark.   Many
acquaintances and employers are named.  This journal has
been transcribed, and a name index prepared, by the donor.  Additional
genealogical information is included.
