Financial records of a school organized in 1906 with the purpose
of offering courses at the Newark Public Library in the fields of
history, literature, science, art, and business. Instruction was
usually offered by faculty members from New York University to
Newark teachers desiring college extension work. Inserted in the
volume is correspondence of David B.  Corson, assistant
superintendent of schools for the Newark Board of Education and
founder of this college extension program for Newark teachers.
