Scope and Content Note:

This volume contains the accounts of an unknown Union County shoemaker dating from 1825-1826.  Each customer’s account contains entries consisting of the date, job and price.  The shoemaker’s daily work largely involved mending shoes and selling materials for shoemaking.  A majority of the customers were residents of Union County and included the Baldwin family, John Badgley, Benjamin Moore, Jacob Alwood, and Eliza Danley.
