Mellon Foundation.Finding aid written in English. Historical Note:The Belvidere Democratic Club of Belvidere, N.J. had monthly meetings from the years 1955-1962. The organization at this time had approximately 160 members, many of whom were women and married couples. NJ governor Robert Meyner was also a member. Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Ritter, parents of the collection donor, were also active in the organization. The minutes reflect the rallies, events, and parties, as well as the financial goings on of the organization. The organization no longer exists.
