A collection comprised mainly of rent receipts, assorted receipts of payment for household items, groceries, hardware, and for services such as tutoring and carpentry, business accounts, two Sussex county deeds, and other miscellaneous items concerning members of the DeGray family of Paterson, N.J. Many items relate to the transactions of Richard I. DeGray (1811-1891), a farmer and saw miller, as well as to his forebears and descendants: Richard (Dirrick) DeGray (1755-1841), John R. DeGray (1787-1861), Mary DeGray, William Miles DeGray (b.1838), Mary Helen Degray Dater (b.1836), and John Winfield Scott DeGray (1847-1873). Inventory available.
