and Content Notes:

 

 

 

The
New Jersey State Society of the Daughters of the American
Colonists Records contains records of the society that span the
years 1924-1981.  The New Jersey Society of the Daughters of
the American Colonists was established by a small group of women
in January of 1924.  The group first called itself the
Captain Francis Drake chapter but later changed its name to the
Governor Philip Carteret chapter.  Committee reports,
correspondence, meeting minutes, public relations work book, year
books, lineage book of members, eligibility rules, by-laws, and
information on various commemorative activities of the
organization.
