Chiefly receipts concerning Thomas and Rebecca Sharp of Salem County, New Jersey.
Thomas and Rebecca Sharp were residents of Woodstown in the Township of Pilesgrove, in Salem County, New Jersey. The couple paid for the schooling of Anne Sharp, the daughter of Joseph Sharp, and were probably her guardians. Thomas Sharp died in 1808 and left his wife Rebecca as his executor.
This collection was purchased in 1982.
These papers consist of the receipts of Thomas and Rebecca Sharp, dating from 1790-1821, with bulk dates of 1790-1816. The receipts are largely those of Thomas Sharp and document services performed, goods received, and debts and taxes paid. The papers also include a small number of accounts.
