Biographical NoteThe Ihne-Vogdovich family was a working class family living in Hoboken, N.J. in the early part of the 20th century. Return to the Table of Contents Scope and Content NoteConsists of 13 photographs of members of the Ihne-Vogdovich family of Jersey City, New Jersey, including Walter Ihne, Robert Ihne (b. 1925), Martin Vogdovich (b. 1889), and Jaka Tvrdeic Vogdovich (b. 1895). Images include Martin Vogodich and co-workers of the Erie Railroad Company, Jersey City, and Jaka Vogdovich on strike with fellow female leather workers against R. Neumann & Co., Newark, NJ. Also included is a program for the Thirty-Sixth Annual Baby Parade in Asbury Park, NJ, August 31, 1927, and images of Robert Ihne dressed as Felix-the-Cat for which he won the “Cinderella” prize.
